An excerpt from the Binghamton University Commencement speech by Anthony Corvino -
"For far too long our voices the voices of average students have been drowned out in a sea of unique individuals and overly exceptional people. All the year of relative mediocrity and refusing to think out of the box have paid off. We, the average, who have proved procrastination and apathy are not just big words but a way of life. May be average is the new exceptional. Average is not fame or fortune or wealth or achievement. Average is knowing that you don't receive respect, you earn it and you aren't given opportunity you fight for it. And if anyone tries to tell you different, they are lying. Average is amazing."
And if you do like the excerpt you should see the full speech! Its truly exceptional!
