Calculus, male mind and the female mind

Calculus, male mind and the female mind

Male mind is like differential calculus. Whenever men are faced with a situation/ problem/ question, they never look at it as a whole. They take a look at the complicated problem curve P and break it down into small elements, dP1, dP2, dP3....dPn till the curve (the element) starts looking like a straight line. Then they look for a solution to this linear element. This style of thinking comes from the fact that the male brain is single minded i.e focused on one and only one thing at a time, multitasking or multithreading is not their forte. Male mind places logic and simplicity of solution above anything else. It does not like limits, dependencies and non linearities.

Female mind on the other hand functions like integral calculus. It looks at a problem curve, considers the domain variables, the dependencies, the limits and then it integrates P to come to a solution. Thus the female solution is not only for the Problem curve P, it is one degree higher so that the solution for P does not give rise to any other problems. The female mind revels in non linearities. It looks at the bigger picture to come up with a solution. The solution is not necessarily a simple one but it is more long lasting.

Male mind functions on the principle of differential calculus, the female mind functions on the principles of integral calculus. Though both the things are diametrically opposite, they are very much complementary. One is incomplete without the other.

Passion is everything...

Passion is everything...

Passion, it lies in all of us, sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted... unbidden... it will stir... open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us... guides us... passion rules us all, and we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts..sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace... but we would be hollow... Empty rooms shuttered and dank. Without passion we'd be truly dead.

Passion gives life meaning, Passion gives it a direction. Passion is everything....

Songs of the 90s....

One day a strange mood stuck me and all I could think of was the 90s songs ...mostly involving Akshay Kumar or Suneil Shetty! Songs that made no sense...and songs that makes me laugh a lot if I think of them these days...

For instance..

"poster lagwa do bazaar me, ye khabar chhapwa do akhbaar me, ek ladka ek ladki, ek ladka ladki hay hay pagal ho gaye pyaar me"!

"kya adaa kya jalwe tere paaro dil ke tukde ho gaye hazaro jaayegi ab jaan bhi meri aankh na maaro!"

bhali ladki, khol tere dil ki, pyaar waali khidki ho ho ho ho...

"hay huku hay huku hay hay hay huku hay huku hay hay, ek ladki mere saamne mera dil liye jaaye jaaye jaaye"

muqabla oh laila, apna qafila, jab pyar se chala logo ka dil jaala yaar ka dil mila mohabbat ka hai yahi silsila...oye o!

gore mukhde pe kala kala chashma tauba khuda khair kare kya khoob hai karishma!

'a a i u u u mera dil na todo'

me base ho tum, tumhe dil me basa lunga jab chahe tumhe dekhu aaina bana lunga! and 'jhaanjhariya uski chhanak gayi chubari bhi sar se sarak gayi meri nazar usse mili to uski nazar sharma ke jhuk gayee'

chha pe soya tha behnoi

sarkaylo khatiya jaada lage

rukmini rukmini shaadi ke baad kya kya hua :)

The songs and the lyrics of the 90s rocked!

Further additions -

Oonchi hai building, lift teri band hai, kaise main aau dil razamand hai.

A Aa ee u u u, mera dil na todo!

Main laila laila chillaunga kurta faad ke!
kurta faad sab chhod chhaad main ho gaya deewana

tu Meri Hai Pepsi-cola
Main Tera Hoon Coca-cola interval Mein Piyenge Dono
Barf Mein Laga Huva Mangola juldi Kar Ke Chadh Na Jaaye
Thrmometer Ka Ye Paara ek Baar Se Dil Nahi Bharata
Mudke Dekh Mujhe Dobaara
tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Taara
Chalati Hai Kya Nau Se Baara

Main to raste se jaa raha tha
Bhel puri kha raha tha
tujhe mirchi lagi to main kya karu!

Hands

Dreams

Dreams are the desires of your subconscious mind

Memories of footprints you have left behind.

The truths that you have always sought

The battles that you have always fought

The goals that you have always wanted to achieve

The myths that you have always wanted to believe

Your dreams reflect what you are

You reflect what your dreams are.

Dreams play a different kind of role,

you and your dreams are just like body and soul

Colors

Imagine, getting up one day and discovering that the world is just black and white. No reds, yellows, blues and greens. All your shirts look the same, all the flowers look the same, No paintings, no movies, no variety, no vibrancy…just monotones of black and white. No looking at the sky as it turns from orange hues of the morning, to a clear blue, to a clouded gray, to a dark blue at dusk and finally black. No flowers, no butterflies, no rainbows, only black and white monotones. Sounds scary, right? When we start to imagine what lack of colors could be like do we truly realize how much colors mean to us.

Color is not just an embellishment, not just a decoration. Color motivates, excites, attracts, enlightens, emphasizes, empathizes. Colors are the language the universe speaks to our soul.

Red is the color of fire, blood, war, danger, passion, desire , love. It is an emotionally intense color and yet a color of warning. A color that screams danger and desire at the same time.

Yellow is the color of sunshine, of happiness, of energy. It is a spontaneous color that evokes pleasant cheerful feelings.

Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It reminds me of joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.

Green is the color of nature. The color of harmony, freshness and safety. It is the color of healing. It suggests stability and endurance.

Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is the color of depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. It brings tranquility and calmness.

Purple combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. Purple is associated with royalty. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. It conveys wealth and extravagance. Purple is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic.

White is associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity. It is considered to be the color of perfection.White means safety, purity, and cleanliness.White can represent a successful beginning.

Black is associated with power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery. Black is a mysterious color associated with fear and the unknown. Black is the color of grief. Black denotes strength and authority; it is considered to be a very formal, elegant, and prestigious color.

May your life be touched with a little of every color. Wishing you a happy and cheerful celebration of Colors. Happy Holi!

As a small continuation to this I would like you to tell me what color do you think you are …and which color do you think I am.

A little story or a small question that everyone must answer.

Once upon a time there was a guy Mr. A. He finished his education, worked towards a brilliant career, earned a lot of money and had a rich and comfortable life. Having achieved everything he wanted to he decided it was time he settled down and got married. One fine evening as he was returning from work he saw a beautiful lady Miss B crossing the road. He fell in love with her and proposed to her the very next day. He said "Miss B, I love you and would like to marry you. We will have a happy and comfortable life. Will you marry me?

Miss B was in love with a certain Mr. L. Mr. L was a struggling painter of no great talent. Hence he could never make it big in the art world even if he tried too hard. Miss B said to Mr. A "You, sir are very good to offer me all this but I am in love with Mr. L." Mr. A said, "Please reconsider Miss B. Everything that is mine shall be yours. You shall never again have the lack of money or comfort or my love. I will not pressurize or persuade you into accepting but I would like you to take a week to think and then come back and give me an answer". Miss B agreed to that.

She immediately went to see Mr. L. To reach Mr. L's house she had to cross a river. The boatman Mr. M said "Lady you have to give me money or i wont take u across." Miss B didn't have much money. So she cried and pleaded and appealed to Mr. M to take her to her love. Mr. M was unmoved. Finally he said, "For one of those gold earrings that you have I will take you across once. If you agree, let's go" Miss B. agreed. She gave him one of her gold earrings, crossed the river and went to see Mr. L.

Mr. L was worried when he saw the confusion and anxiety on Miss B's face. He asked her, "What's the matter, my lady?" She said, "Oh Mr. L! I was proposed to by Mr. A today." Mr. L asked, "did you accept? or Did you say no?". Miss B said amongst sobs "He has given me a week to decide, but how can I decide I love you." Mr. L considered for a moment and said "My dear, I am but a struggling painter and I know I would never make it big. With me you will always have to scrape and live from hand to mouth, you would have to struggle all your life. My fate or my future is of my own making hence I do not mind suffering through it but you my dear, you don't have to pay for my mistakes. you have a chance at a better life and I don't want to hold you back and condemn you to a life of poverty." His answer made Miss B. think even more. She asked, "But what should I tell him?" Mr. L sighed and said, "You should find your own answer...but for your sake, I do wish you would say, yes."

Miss B was saddened by this. She came back to the river gave her other earring to the boatman Mr. M and returned to town. She thought long and hard about what the two men had said to her and after a week accepted Mr. A's proposal and married him.

Here ends the story and begins the question. Out of the 4 characters, Mr. A, Miss B, Mr.L and Mr. M.
Who do you think is the most morally justified? Answer beginning with the person of highest morals. Please leave a comment with your answer.

For all of you who answered the previous question...a little twist in the tale for you. Since you have now rated the characters according to morality...Now if A represents ambition, L represents Love, B represents Brains and M represents money...Think of the priority of these things in your life and now decide your order...Is the order according to morality and according to priority different?

Do we always think on moral grounds when we decide our priorities?
Or do we use different parameters when we judge others and different ones when it comes to our own lives?
